MOTHERHOOD FILM & PHOTO PACKAGE
This session is designed to capture intimate moments between yourself and your family, focusing on your personal experience with motherhood. The film features audio from an interview that I will record with you during the session. The ideal location is at your home, or anywhere that is special to your family (i.e. a local park, weekly trip to the farmer's market, or anywhere that is your comfort place). Shooting works best either early morning, or late afternoon as that is the most ideal for lighting. If we're shooting outside, the perfect time is right before sunset. Sessions typically last for about 4 hours, and the atmosphere is down to earth, relaxed, and real. There is no need to perform or stage any scenarios. The more real and raw, the better! We are creating art from your honest moments. This film is meant to act as a portrait of you with your family.
Prior to Session:
Once we confirm your booking, I will email you a questionnaire in order to help me get to know you, learn about the dynamic of your family, and understand what you would like to get from our session. This is important because I am seeking to capture as many real connections between each family member as possible, so the more I get to know you, the better! I will also send your a list of interview questions regarding your Motherhood experience, that I will be asking you on camera during the session. I send them to you ahead of time so that you're able to let them sit and think about how you would like to answer them. One week prior to the shoot, we will schedule a phone chat to discuss a bit more about how the session will work, and answer any other questions you may have.
During the Session:
Upon my arrival at your home, I'll ask you to introduce me to your family and take a quick tour of your home. We'll chat a bit and try to get everyone comfortable and feeling natural. Once everyone begins to feel comfortable, you can go about whatever it is you would normally do—play, dance, cuddle, read a book. The best moments happen organically and typically take no lead from me, but I will offer some slight guidance if necessary. Pretend I'm a fly on the wall, as you interact with your family totally and completely just being yourselves. Once shooting is complete, I'll sit down with you one-on-one (if possible!) and ask you to answer the interview questions that were sent to your prior to the shoot. This is meant to act like a relaxed conversation between you and I, and you're open to share as much or as little as you would like.
After the Session:
Approximately 6 weeks after our session, I will be sending you a link to your film (about 3-4 minutes long) as well as an online gallery of photos. You can download the high resolution photos directly through the gallery. I will also send a digital copy of the film. If you want printed images or products, I would be happy to arrange those services via some of the best print shops that Toronto has to offer.
If you have any questions regarding this style of session or would like to have access to my price list, please do no hesitate to contact me. We can chat a bit about what you're looking for, and arrange the booking process from there.
I look forward to hearing from you!
